In recent years, from the perspective of atom economy (atom efficiency) that requires reduction of waste, catalysts play a key role in efficient production with less environmental impact.

We are promoting research and development of not only slurry bed hydrogenation catalysts, but also complexes for cross-coupling reaction used in homogeneous system, whose applications have been rapidly expanding in recent years.

To reduce the high cost of precious metal complex catalysts mainly due to the cost of precious metal, we propose the reduction of catalyst usage by using highly active catalysts as well as the use of metal scavengers that can collect efficiently precious metals from reaction system.
